Hooked Rugs

Hooked rugs were historically created by people that lived in North America. It was a tradition that was passed down through the generations as a means of survival. Not only did they use this skill to provide a floor cover for themselves, but they also used it to provide themselves with income by selling their creations.

Hooked rugs have since been created through modern machinery. There are kits available for purchase that contain all of the necessary items to create a rug. They come in a variety of different patterns displaying different pictures with different colors and themes.

Hooked rugs can be used as a floor cover but also as a decorative piece. Because many of these rugs are so detailed, many people opt to hang them from their walls as an element of wall décor. This is often done in country western homes. To complete this type of project, it requires a lot of time and effort; however, the end result is worth the wait.
