Area Rug

An area rug is an inexpensive way to revamp the look of a space. With the addition of new color, texture, and pattern, a room can instantly feel as though it has been modernized. It helps add warmth to a wood or tile floor.

An area rug has been a tool that has been used for generations. Different cultures have historically used them for different purposes, and often times relied on them as a source of income. Handcrafted pieces can often times take months to complete, but are a way that homemakers could contribute the lively hood of their family.

An area rug can be made from a variety of different material in a variety of different ways. They can be mass produced by a machine or by hand. Homemakers create braided and knotted rugs that are often made from materials such as old denim, or strips of cloth. This type of a look is often appropriate in country homes.
